Overview
Users can set criteria within an assessment using two different views: Tree View and Gap Analysis View. These views help Assessors, Trainee Assessors, and Learners identify, select, and track the criteria required for the assessment.
User Roles
This feature can be used by:
- Assessor
- Trainee Assessor
- Learner
Criteria Views
Tree View
An expandable list of Learning Aims, Units, and Outcomes displayed in a structured hierarchy. This view allows you to explore all available criteria in detail.
Gap Analysis View
A simplified view showing each criterion, how many times it must be covered, and current progress.
Steps to Set Criteria
- Open an Assessment.
- Scroll to the Criteria section.
- Click Set Criteria.

Using Tree View
- Click the [+] icons to expand Learning Aims, Units, and Outcomes.
- Tick the checkboxes next to the criteria you want to include.
- Click Save.
Using Gap Analysis View
- Expand or collapse Units as needed.
- Tick the checkboxes next to the desired criteria.
- Click Save.
Top Tips
- Use All, None, and Select to quickly tick or untick multiple criteria.
- If the assessment is set to Evidence Type per Criteria, only the user who starts the assessment can add criteria.
- You can switch between Tree View and Gap Analysis View at any time.
- In Tree View, expand only the units you need to focus on specific criteria.
- Always click Save after making selections — unsaved changes will be lost.
