Delete Assessments

Who Can Use This Feature?

The ability to delete assessments depends on who started the assessment and how it was created. The following user role may have access:

  • Assessors and Trainee Assessors
  • Learners

Determining Who Can Delete an Assessment

Use the decision flow below to identify who can delete an assessment:

  1. Was the assessment created and currently linked to an Assessment Plan?

    • Yes → Only the Assessor can delete it.
    • No → Continue to next step.

ℹ️Important Notes

If the assessment is linked to a plan, you'll see a link on the top right of the assessment to go to the plan.

  1. Is the assessment still linked to the plan?
    • Yes → Only the Assessor can delete it.
    • No → Only the user who started the assessment can delete.
  2. Was the assessment created from an Assessment Template?

    • Yes→ Was it started by the Assessor?
      • Yes → Only the Assessor can delete it.
      • No → Only the Learner can delete it.
    • No→ Was it started by the Assessor?
      • Yes → Only the Assessor can delete it.
      • No → Only the Learner can delete it.

ℹ️Important Notes

The assessment must be locked to the person who is able to delete it for the Delete button to appear.

Unlocking Assessments

Use the Padlock icon to unlock the assessment to the correct user (Assessor or Learner) based on the decision flow above or visual attached.

Unlocking can be done by:

  • Assessors
  • Internal Verifiers (IV/IQA)
  • Centre Managers

Assessments Linked to Plans

  • If an assessment is linked to a plan, it can be deleted by the Assessor.
  • If the plan has already been deleted, the user who started the task must delete the assessment.
  • If required always delete the assessment before deleting the plan.
