Invite an Assessor to Assess Your Evidence

Overview

Learners can temporarily invite an Assessor to assess their evidence or assessments. This is useful when a learner needs a different Assessor to review work due to availability, specialist requirements, or Centre processes.

Centre Setting

The following Centre settings affect this feature:

  • Allow learners who have created their own assessment to select which assessor to send to
  • Allow learners to invite assessors to assess their evidence

Steps

How to Invite a Temporary Assessor

  1. Open the assessment.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click Change assessor.
  3. Select Invite New Assessor from the drop‑down list.
  4. Enter the email address of the assessor you wish to invite, then click Check.
  5. If the assessor does nothave an account:
    • Enter their first name and last name.
    • Reconfirm the email address.
    • Click Continue.
  6. If the assessor already has an account:
    • Tick the checkbox next to their name.
    • Click Continue.
  7. Sign the assessment.
  8. Click Save & Quit.

Accepting the Invitation

  • Your Default Assessor will receive a task to approve the invited Assessor. This is a security measure to ensure the invited user should have access to your assessment.
  • Once approved, the invited Assessor will receive an email to accept the invitation.
  • After acceptance, they will receive their login details and will be able to assess your evidence.

Tips & Notes

  • Invited Assessors only gain temporary access to the specific assessment.
  • If you cannot see the Change assessor option, your Centre Manager may need to enable the required settings.
  • Your Default Assessor must approve the invited assessor before they can access your work.
