Overview
There are specific scenarios where an assessment cannot be unlocked by an Assessor. Depending on who has signed off the assessment or which part of the portfolio is locked, different user roles may be required to unlock it.
User Roles
This feature can be used by the following user roles:
- Centre Manager
- Assessor
- Internal Quality Assurer (IQA)
Unit Summary Has Been Signed Off
If the Unit Summary has been signed off, the assessment must be unlocked from the Unit page.
- Navigate to the Learner’s Portfolio.
- Click the Unit Title.
- Click the Padlock icon in the top‑right corner.
- Select the Assessor the unit should be unlocked to.
- Add a reason for unlocking.
- Click Unlock.
The Assessment Has Been Signed Off by the Internal Quality Assurer
If the IQA has signed off the assessment, only a Centre Manager can unlock it.
- Navigate to the Learner’s Portfolio.
- Open the Assessment.
- Click the Padlock icon.
- Select the IQA’s name.
- Add a reason for unlocking.
- Click Unlock.
Once unlocked, the Assessor can then unlock the assessment to themselves if they need to make changes.
