✨ New feature alert
This feature is available from Thursday 8 October 2026.
Overview
In Enrol Onboarding, the Introduction step is the first stage of a learner's onboarding workflow, and it's made up of a number of individual steps. You can now mark each of these steps as complete manually.
This helps when a step has already been dealt with outside the system — for example in a phone call, a face-to-face meeting, or an induction session. The learner's onboarding can then move forward without waiting for the step to be completed in the usual way.
What's Changed?
| Before | Now |
|---|---|
| Steps in the Introduction step could only be completed through the normal workflow process. | Steps in the Introduction step can also be marked as complete manually. |
User Roles
This feature can be used by:
- Admin
Steps to Mark an Introduction Step as Complete
- Log in to Enrol Onboarding.
- Find the learner and open their record.
- Open the learner's onboarding workflow and go to the Introduction step.
- Find the step you want to complete.
- Mark the step as complete.
- Repeat for any other Introduction steps that have been completed.
Tips & Notes
- Only mark a step as complete once it has actually been done for example, when the learner has been given the introductory information in person.
- If the step was completed outside the system, add a comment to the learner's record explaining how and when it was done. This keeps a clear record for audits.
- Manual completion is currently available for steps within the Introduction step only.
