Overview
Tracker maintains its own database of Apprenticeship Standards and Learning Aims. Before assigning these to learners, new standards and aims must be added to the system.
This guide covers:
- How to search for Apprenticeship Standards and Learning Aims
- How to add them to Tracker
Search for an Apprenticeship Standard
- Go to the Find a Learning Aim website.
- Enter the name of the Apprenticeship Standard in the Search box.
- In the Type of learning dropdown, select Standards instead of Qualifications.
- Click the green Search button.
- Locate the correct Apprenticeship Standard and note the 3-digit code.
Tip: Keep this browser tab open. You’ll need it later to find the associated non-regulated learning aim.
➕ Add a new Apprenticeshp Standard to Tracker
User Roles
This feature can be used by the following user roles:
- Project Admin
- Log in to Tracker and select the Project Admin role from the top of the screen.
- Expand the Project Admin menu on the left and click Apprenticeship Standards.
- Click the New button (bottom left).
- Enter the 3-digit code and Description.
- Include the Level in the description for easier identification.
- Click Update.
✅The new Apprenticeship Standard is now available in templates and learner records under the Programme tab.
Search for Learning Aim References
You’ll need the 8-digit Learning Aim Reference to add a qualification to Tracker.
Option A: Search by Qualification Title
- Go to the Find a Learning Aim website.
- Enter the qualification title in the Search box.
- Click the green Search button.
Option B: Find Non-Regulated Learning Aim from
Apprenticeship Standard
- Click the Apprenticeship Standard title from your previous search.
- Click Related learning aims.
- Note the associated non-regulated learning aim.
➕ Step 4: Add New Learning Aims to Tracker
User Roles
This feature can be used by the following user roles:
- Project Admin
- Power User
- Log in to Tracker and select either Project Admin or Power User role.
- Expand the Project Admin (or Site Admin) menu and click Aim References.
- Click the New button (bottom left).
- Enter the 8-digit Learning Aim Reference and click Search.
- Select the correct Learning Aim Record.
- Click Save.
✅The Learning Aim Reference is now available for use in templates and learner records.
Tip: Use the notepad icon on the Aims tab to search and select Learning Aims. Clicking Search without entering a term will show all available aims.
