Overview
You may see the message "Email is already taken" when trying to manually create a Keychain. This means a Keychain account already exists for the email address you are attempting to use.
When this happens, you will not be able to create a new Keychain — instead, you should log in to your existing one or reset the password if needed.
What to Do
- Log in to your existing Keychain account.
- If you do not know your Keychain password, click Reset Password and follow the instructions.
- Once logged in, if you cannot see any accounts linked, you can manually add your account(s) from the Keychain home page.
Tips & Notes
- Your email can only be linked to one Keychain account.
- Password reset emails expire after a short time — follow the link promptly.
- If you reset your password, check your spam/junk folder if the email does not arrive.
