Unable to update an applicant

Overview

If you are unable to update an applicant and the E-Portfolio Centre field appears greyed out, this is usually because one or more Tutors in your organisation are not assigned to an Eportfolio Centre. All Tutors must be linked to a Centre before applicants can be updated.

User Roles

This issue can be resolved by:

  • Client Owner
  • Tutor (with permissions)

Why This Happens

Applicants can only be updated when all Tutors are assigned to an Eportfolio Centre. If even one Tutor has no Centre linked, the E-Portfolio Centre option will remain unavailable.

Steps to Assign a Tutor to an Eportfolio Centre

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click Manage your team.
  3. Click the context menu (three dots) next to the Tutor’s name.
  4. Click Edit.

  5. Click Eportfolio Centre.
  6. Select the correct Centre.

  7. Click Update team member.

Important: Each Tutor must be assigned to a Centre. Once all Tutors have a Centre selected, you will be able to update applicants without restrictions.

Tips & Notes

  • This issue is common when new Tutors have been created but not fully configured.
  • If a Tutor works across multiple Centres, ensure the correct Centre is selected based on your setup.
  • If the option is still greyed out after updating all Tutors, refresh the page or log out and back in.

Terminology

The terminology used in this article may differ depending on your Centre’s configuration.
