Overview
A data conflict occurs when the online version of an assessment, plan, or review has been edited after it was synced to the Onefile app. When the app version is synced, the system detects differences between the online and offline versions. Instead of automatically overriding information, you can choose which version to keep.
The Conflict Manager is designed to prevent data loss by allowing you to select the correct version.
When Does a Conflict Occur?
Here’s an example scenario:
- An Assessment, Assessment Plan, or Review is started on OneFile.
- The Eportfolio app is synced, and the assessment, plan, or review is edited offline.
- Changes are made to the Onefile online version.
- The Eportfolio app is synchronised again.
- The system detects a difference between the online and offline versions and triggers the Conflict Manager.

ℹ️Important Notes
- Always review changes carefully before selecting a version.
- Conflicts typically occur when edits are made in both the app and online system before syncing.
