What is conflict in data?

A conflict in data can occur when the online version of an assessment, plan or review has been edited after it has been synced to our Onefile app. When the app version of an assessment is synced, it causes a conflict and rather than overriding information, you can choose which version of the assessment, plan or review that you’d like to keep.

Please see the below example of how a conflict will occur:

  1. Assessment, Assessment Plan, Review started on OneFile
  2. Eportfolio app is synced and the assessment, plan or review is edited
  3. Changes made to the OneFile online version
  4. Eportfolio app is synchronised

The system picks up a difference between the online/offline versions. The conflict manager is there to prevent loss of data.
