Overview
Centre Managers can enable a setting that allows Assessors to sign on behalf of learners. This option can be applied Centre‑wide or enabled individually for specific learners. Before enabling this feature, it is recommended to confirm approval with the relevant awarding organisation.
Who Can Use This Feature?
This feature can be enabled by the following user role:
- Centre Manager
Centre Setting
Within Centre Settings, the following options are available:
- Allow assessors to sign on behalf of learners
- Apply the above setting to new learners
- Apply the above setting to all existing learners on Save
These settings determine which learners will be automatically included when the feature is enabled.
How to Enable Assessor Sign‑Off for an Individual Learner
- Navigate to the learner's Account.
- Click the Episode tab.
- In the Learner Signature Required section, tick Assessors may optionally sign on behalf of this learner.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Click Save.
Recommendation
We recommend speaking to your awarding organisation to ensure they approve learner work being signed off by an Assessor on the learner’s behalf.
