How do I approve a qualification I have requested?

Overview

This process ensures that qualifications assigned to learners are accurate and meet your Centre’s requirements. It involves checking units, credit values, and structure before approval.

Who Can Use This Feature?

This feature can be used by the following user roles:

  • Centre Manager

  • User Manager

  • Assessor (with permissions)

  • Internal Verifier (with permissions)

Permissions Required

  • Can manage learner accounts

Centre Setting

  • Deny assessors access to setting learners’ details (including learning aims) may affect availability of this feature.

Steps to Approve a Qualification

  1. Log into Practice Centre.
  2. Assign the qualification to a learner.
  3. Use the Unit Selection tabto:
    • Check all units are available.
    • Confirm units are displayed in the expected structure (e.g., mandatory and optional groups, minimum and maximum credits per group).
    • Verify units have correct credit values and levels.
  4. Use the Gap Analysis on the learner’s portfolio to check the content and criteria of the units.

  • Ensure credit values and mandatory/optional groupings align with awarding body requirements.
