✨ New feature alert
This feature is available from Thursday 17 September 2026.
Overview
Once a Centre Manager enables the Assessor role for a learning aim, Assessors can record their own view of a learner's progress on a Scorecard. Assessors can also schedule a Scorecard, asking the learner to complete one by a due date. This article covers both.
User Roles
This feature can be used by:
- Assessor
- Trainee Assessor
- Assessor Manager
Access depends on the Assessor role being enabled for the learning aim by a Centre Manager.
Steps to Score a Scorecard Yourself
- Open the learner's Scorecard tile.
- Click New Scorecard, or click Score on an existing draft.
- Work through each unit, selecting a score for every criterion.
- When every criterion has a score, click Submit Scorecard.
⚠️ Important: Your scores stay private until you submit. You cannot see another Assessor's or Employer's Scorecard while it is still a draft. A learner's draft that is in progress appears to you as a greyed-out row that cannot be opened.
Steps to Schedule a Scorecard for a Learner
You can ask a learner to complete a Scorecard by a set date without completing it yourself.
- From the learner's Scorecards overview, click Schedule Scorecard.
- Set a due date.
- Optionally, add a comment for the learner.
- Click Schedule Scorecard.
Tips & Notes
- The Schedule Scorecard button only appears if the Learner role is enabled for that learning aim.
- Schedule Scorecard is disabled while a scheduled Scorecard is already pending for that learner. This does not affect your ability to start a new Scorecard of your own.
- When you schedule a Scorecard, the learner receives a task prompting them to complete it.
- Use the comment field to give the learner clear instructions or context before scheduling.
- On the Overview page, use the Show roles filter on the Learning Growth chart to compare your scores against the learner's, or any other enabled role.
Terminology
The terminology used in this article may differ depending on your Centre's configuration.
