✨ New feature alert
This feature is available from Thursday, 31 July 2026.
Overview
When a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) application is approved and marked as successful, the system can now help ensure learner dates accurately reflect the reduced programme duration.
If applicable dates already exist on the learner record, you will be prompted to decide whether those dates should be updated based on the approved RPL outcome.
User Roles
This feature is available to users who can approve successful RPL applications and manage learner records.
How It Works
When an RPL application is approved and marked as successful:
- If a Practical Period Start Date and Practical Period End Date are already recorded, you will be prompted to decide whether the Practical Period End Date should be updated.
- If a Programme End Date is recorded, you will also be prompted to decide whether the Programme End Date should be updated.
- If no relevant learner dates have been recorded, no prompt will be displayed.
Benefits
- Reduces manual updates following RPL approval.
- Helps ensure learner records reflect the adjusted programme duration.
- Provides control over whether individual dates should be updated.
- Improves accuracy of learner and programme records.
Tips & Notes
- Review any proposed date changes before confirming them.
- Date update prompts are only shown when relevant dates already exist on the learner record.
- If no Practical Period or Programme End Dates have been recorded, no action is required.
- Ensure any date changes align with your organisation's funding and compliance requirements.
