Why am I receiving an error when saving a form or review?

Overview

If you receive an error when saving a form or review, it is often caused by the presence of unsupported special characters in the text fields. These characters can prevent the system from processing and saving your data correctly.

Why This Happens

Forms and reviews within Onefile Eportfolio do not support certain special characters. If any of these characters are included—especially those copied from emails, or websites—they may trigger an error when saving.

How to Resolve the Error

  1. Review the information entered in the form or review.
  2. Remove any unsupported special characters.
  3. Attempt to save the form or review again.

If the Issue Continues

If you have removed all special characters and still encounter an error, please contact Onefile Support.

Tips & Notes

  • Special characters often appear when text has been pasted from external sources.
  • Try typing directly into text fields where possible.
  • Plain-text editors (such as Notepad) can help remove hidden formatting before pasting.
