Overview
An Expert Witness can be selected during an assessment to capture testimony from someone with specialist knowledge or experience. Before this option becomes available, a Centre Manager must enable the Expert Witness setting within the relevant Assessment Method.
User Roles
This feature can be used by the following user roles:
- Assessor
- Trainee Assessor
- Learner
Centre Setting
To enable this feature, ensure the following Centre Setting is switched on:
- Use witnesses/expert witnesses
How Centre Managers Enable Expert Witnesses
Before an Expert Witness can be selected, a Centre Manager must configure the Assessment Method:
- Click Quality.
- Click Assessment Methods.
- Click Edit next to the Assessment Method.
- Tick Expert/Witness.
- Click Save.
How to Assign an Expert Witness to an Assessment
- Create a New Assessment.
- Select the Primary Method.
- Click Start.
- Select the Expert Witness from the dropdown list.
