How to Connect to the Data Exports (CSV Files)

Overview

Data exports from Onefile are available via FTP. You will need an FTP client (such as FileZilla) and login credentials provided by the Onefile Support Team.

ℹ️ Important: Credentials must be handled securely and are case‑sensitive.

Who Can Use This Feature?

Access is typically granted to Centre‑level or Customer‑level administrative users. Your permissions will depend on your organisation’s configuration.

Centre Settings

No Centre Settings are required. Access is controlled through FTP credentials issued by Support.

  • Password – Provided securely by Support
  • Credentials are case‑sensitive

Additional Requirements

  • The FTPS server uses port 990 (explicit FTP over TLS).
  • FTP uses passive transfer mode.
  • Ask your IT team to open the following ports to Onefile's server (51.140.164.76):
    • 990 – Connection
    • 21000–21100 – Data transfer

Steps to Connect Using FileZilla

  1. Open FileZilla (or your preferred FTP client).
  2. Enter the connection details:
    • Host: ftp-01.onefile.co.uk
    • Port: 990
    • Protocol: FTP over TLS
    • Username and Password provided by Support
  3. Click Connect.
  4. Navigate to the folder containing your CSV exports.

Troubleshooting

Issue: Connection fails
Solution: Check encryption settings and confirm that the required ports are open.

Issue: Login error
Solution: Verify the username and password (case‑sensitive credentials).

Issue: Cannot download files
Solution: Ensure passive mode is enabled in your FTP client.

Tip: Store credentials securely and avoid sharing FTP access outside of authorised staff.
