Software Update: Thursday 23rd January 2025 7am to 7:30am

On Thursday, we're updating OneFile Eportfolio, Keychain login, Data exports, Engage, Courses and API to introduce some new enhancements and fixes.

Important Update

Support for the old OneFile Eportfolio app (yellow icon) ends on 28th February 2025. To avoid losing access or data, please ensure the app has synced, then uninstall it and download the new OneFile Eportfolio app (blue icon) from the Google Play or Apple App Store.

Setting Learning Aims and Units

  User Roles

This feature can be used by the following user roles:

  • Centre Manager
  • User Manager
  • Assessors with permission
  • Internal Verifiers with permission

  Permissions

Can manage learner accounts

  Centre Setting

Deny assessors access to setting learners details (including learning aims)

  1.  Navigate to the learner's Portfolio
  2. Click the Learning Aims tab (Assessors click Learning Aims icon in the Manage tab)
  3. Click Select learning aim
  4. Locate the learning aims by scrolling or using the search box
  5. Tick the checkboxes of the aimsto be added
  6. Click Add
  7. Click Save

Once the learning aims have been set, the units will need to be saved to the learner's portfolio, by following these steps:
  1. Click the Unit Selection tab
  2. Use the drop-down box if you want to save units for a specific Learning Aim
  3. Otherwise, tick the checkboxes of the units you want to select
  4. Click Save
  5. Repeat steps 3-4 for each learning aim (when you click save, it will cycle through all of the learning aims assigned to the learner

Assessors won't be able to see the Learning Aims icon if the Centre Setting above is enabled.

Learning Aims and Units can also be bulk-assigned by using Framework Templates


Unsaved Units

  • Some units might automatically appear to be selected, but won't appear on the learner's portfolio until you click Save.
  • Saved units are displayed in bold.
