Importing a Word document into the Evidence section

Overview

You can import a Word document directly into the Evidence section of an Assessment or Assessment Template. To ensure the formatting imports correctly, the Word file must be prepared using Web Layout before uploading.

User Roles

This feature can be used by the following user roles:

  • Centre Manager
  • Assessor
  • Trainee Assessor
  • Learner

Centre Setting

To enable this feature, ensure the following Centre Setting is switched on:

  • Use the HTML editor for assessment evidence (enables spell checker)

Preparing Your Word Document

Before importing your Word document, ensure you have created your content using Web Layout. This ensures that the formatting appears correctly when imported into Onefile Eportfolio.

Changing a document to Web Layout after adding content may affect formatting.

Set Word to Web Layout

  1. Click View.
  2. Click Web Layout.

If the document was created before switching to Web Layout, copy and paste the content into a new document that is already set to Web Layout, then save the file before importing.

How to Import a Word Document

  1. Navigate to the Evidence section of an Assessment or Assessment Template.
  2. Click Import Word Document.
  3. Click Choose File.
  4. Select the Word file you wish to import.
  5. Click Open.
  6. Click Import Word Document.
