Create Sampling Tasks For a Single Learner

Overview

IQAs can add planned sampling activities for an individual learner using Single‑Mode. This allows you to schedule sampling for a specific unit, select assessment methods to be sampled, and generate task reminders for upcoming activity.

User Roles

This feature can be used by:

  • Internal Quality Assurer

Single‑Mode

Single‑Mode allows you to apply your sampling plan to one learner and one unit at a time.

Steps

How to Add Planned Sampling Activities (Single‑Mode)

  1. Click Unit Sampling from the left‑hand navigation bar.
  2. Use the filters to display the learner and their assigned units.
  3. Click Submit.
  4. Select Single‑Mode within the Learner Selection area.
  5. Under Planned Activity, tick Show planned completion date (PCD).
  6. Click the PCD within the unit you want to sample.
  7. Tick the checkboxes for the Assessment Methods you intend to sample.
  8. Tick the Planned Processes you follow (these processes are created by the Centre Manager).
  9. Tick the Task Reminder checkbox.
  10. Select the planned sample date using the Date Picker.
  11. Enter any Additional Comments (these will appear inside the IV Planned Sampling Task).
  12. Click Save.

What Happens Next?

Once your sampling plan is saved:

  • Your planned activity will display in the Sampling Table.
  • Selected assessment methods will show as coloured boxes for that unit.
  • The system will generate task reminders automatically.

Additional Information

  • Task reminders for Planned Sampling appear 7 days before the planned sampling date.
  • Sampling tasks will only be generated if at least one assessment method is selected.
  • IQA users must manually click Hide on a task reminder once they have completed the formative sampling.

Multi‑Mode

Multi‑Mode allows you to apply a sampling plan to multiple learners and units at once. Use Single‑Mode for detailed or individual sampling plans; use Multi‑Mode for wider planning activity.
