Upcoming System Update: Eportfolio & Learning Journal

On Wednesday, 3rd September 2025, we’ll be rolling out a series of enhancements to Eportfolio and the Learning Journal aimed at improving usability, accuracy, and the overall experience for both learners and assessors.

On Thursday, we're updating ILR and Enrol, to introduce some new enhancements and fixes.

Enhancements 

Enrol

  • It is now possible to view a draft form. This allows users to see the layout of the form as they are designing it.

More information on how to view a draft from in preview mode can be found here

  • The Learning Aim Field has been added to the Course Grid Screen

  • A Learning Aim can now be associated with a course in Enrol. This is optional and once the Learning Aim has been associated with a course, it will no longer appear in the drop down.

  • The size of the email address field has been increased to 255 characters.
  • In the Form Template page it is now possible to filter by the workflow type.

  • The size of the fields in a data table have been increased from 30 characters to 250.
  • The actions on the Form Template page have now been moved to a kebab style menu. This is to provide more space on the page.

  • The Learning Aim that has been associated with the course is now displayed in the learners record page.

  • When a form template is deleted, the audit table is now updated with the user ID of who deleted the template and when the template was deleted
  • When a form is deleted from a learner the audit table is now updated with the id of the form that has been deleted along with the User ID of who deleted the form 

ILR

  •  When a learner is on an Apprenticeship Funding Model, the Employer ID field is now mandatory

Fixes 

Enrol

  •  All pre populated fields are now validated at the time of data entry to reduce any data errors
  •  A defect has been fixed that was preventing employers and courses with no learners assigned being deleted. 
  •  The paging of the employers has now been fixed to show 10 per page 
  •  There was an intermittent error message appearing when a user was trying to access the Users page. This has now been resolved. 

ILR

  • It is now possible to add any employment status once all mandatory employment status fields are completed
