Creating a Register in Eportfolio

Overview

Registers allow Centres and Assessors to record learner attendance for sessions. Registers can be created either through the Centre area or directly from the Learner Dashboard.

Permissions

Who Can Use This Feature?

This feature can be used by the following user roles:

  • Centre Manager
  • Assessor (with the Manage Registers permission)

Additional Permission

  • Can view all groups when assigning learners to a register

This additional permission allows users to view all learner groups when selecting learners for a register, rather than only the groups they are assigned to.

Steps

Create a Register (Centre Manager or Assessor with Permission)

  1. Click Centre in the navigation menu.
  2. Select Registers.
  3. Click Create Register.
  4. Choose the Class from the drop‑down list.
  5. Click the grey box next to each learner’s name to move them into the Selected Learners section.
  6. Click Save.

Create a Register (From the Learner Dashboard)

  1. Click Sessions on the Learner Dashboard.
  2. Click Create Register.
  3. Choose the Class from the drop‑down list.
  4. Click the grey box next to each learner’s name to move them into the Selected Learners section.
  5. Click Save.

Tips & Notes

  • Classes must be created before you can build a register.
  • Learners can be added or removed from the Selected Learners list before saving.
  • Assessors require the Manage Registers permission to access this feature.
  • The permission Can view all groups when assigning learners to a register is helpful if users support multiple groups or need wider visibility when selecting learners.

Terminology

Please note that the terminology used in this article may be different depending on your Centre.
