Upcoming System Update: Eportfolio & Learning Journal

On Wednesday, 3rd September 2025, we’ll be rolling out a series of enhancements to Eportfolio and the Learning Journal aimed at improving usability, accuracy, and the overall experience for both learners and assessors.

Create a Sampling Policy

  User Roles

This feature can be used by the following user roles:

  • Centre Manager with permission
  • Lead Internal Verifier with permission
  • Internal Verifier with permission

Can manage sampling policies 

To create a sampling policy, follow the steps below. 

  1. Click Quality in the navigation menu  
    • Lead and Internal Verifiers can access this under Other IV Options on your homepage
  2. Click Sampling Policies
  3. Click Create new sampling policy
  4. Enter a name
  5. Specify which % of the Assessor’s learners should be sampled
  6. Specify what % of those learner’s units should be sampled
  7. Use the slider to specify how much of the sampling should be summative and interim
    • Overall Sample: Apply the Summative/Interim split across all of the affected learners
    • Each learner’s Sample: Apply the Summative/Interim split to each affected learner
  8. Specify which methods should be included within the sample
  9. You can choose if the methods should be applied to the overall sample or each learner
  10. Click Save
