Feature change alert - New OneFile Delivery Plans

We are pleased to announce the first release of the new delivery plan functionality in Eportfolio. Delivery plans will enhance your ability to manage your ESFA Training Plans within Eportfolio. They allow you to create a detailed plan of training that can be incorporated into a learner’s Individual Learning Plan (ILP). This can then be used to gather the necessary signatures.

Delivery Plans enable you to define templates for typical apprenticeship delivery, which can then be individualised to account for an apprentice’s prior learning and employer's requirements. This initial release provides the capability to create and manage delivery plan templates.

To support this, we have enhanced the framework template functionality to include delivery plan templates. A new delivery plan tab has been added to the framework templates page to record the details of the training to be delivered. This could include required apprenticeship components, English and Maths, or any additional components not linked to the apprenticeship.

The delivery plan template consists of three levels of detail: categories, modules, and components. The list of categories can be managed from a new Centre lookup table. Modules are used to group the delivery, examples of this could be units, themes, or block releases. Components allow you to describe the activities the apprentice will undertake, including when they will take place, the OTJ hours, the delivery lead, the method of delivery, and the source of funding. A component can also be linked to the KSBs associated with the apprenticeship.

Future releases of the delivery plan functionality will allow you to:
1. Copy a delivery plan template to a learner.
2. Adjust and individualise the delivery plan for a learner.
3. Provide the learner and employer with visibility of their delivery plan.
4. Add the delivery plan to the ILP.
