Creating Framework Templates

Overview

Framework Templates allow you to group learning aims and standards into a reusable template that can be assigned to learners individually or in bulk. This is useful when you frequently assign the same learning aims and units to multiple learners.

Who Can Use This Feature?

This feature can be used by the following user roles:

  • Center Manager
  • User Manager

Steps to Create a Framework Template

  1. Navigate to Framework Templates

    • Click Centre in the navigation menu.
    • Click Framework Templates.
  2. Create a New Template

    • Click Create Framework Template.
    • Enter a Title and set default dates for the template.
    • (Optional) Add Off-The-Job and Delivery Plan information.
  3. Select Learning Aims

    • Click Select Learning Aims.
    • Tick the checkboxes for the aims you want to include.
    • Click Add, then Save.
    • Adjust weighting or dates for selected learning aims.
    • Click Save.
  4. Select Units

    • You’ll be taken to the Unit Selection tab.
    • Tick the units you want to include.
    • Use the Override checkbox to ignore validation (e.g., when saving mandatory units).
    • Click Save.
    • Repeat for each learning aim in the template.
  5. Finalize Weightings and Dates

    • Adjust weightings as needed.
    • Planned Start Date and Anticipated Completion Dates will reflect earlier inputs.
    • Click Save when finished.

ℹ️Important Notes

  • Learning Aim Start Dates:

    • Set through the framework template and appear on the learner’s portfolio once applied.
    • If set to 0 months/weeks/days, the start date defaults to the episode start date on the learner’s portfolio.
  • Unit Start Dates:

    • Specify when a unit should start.
    • By default, start and completion dates are pulled from the learning aims page unless changed on the Units tab.
