Why can't I unlock an Assessment?

This feature can be used by the following user roles:

  • Centre Managers
  • Internal Quality Assurers 
  • Assessors

If you're unable to unlock an assessment, it could be due to one of the following reasons:

  • A) The assessment has been signed by an IV
  • B) The criteria on the assessment is linked to a unit summary that has been signed-off

Solution A

If the assessment has been signed by an IV, you'll need to contact the IV or a Centre Manager and ask they they unlock this (to remove their IV signature) and then either resubmit it, or unlock it back to you as the Assessor.

Solution B

If the unit summary linked to the criteria has been signed off, you will see the message below, which explains which unit summaries need to be unlocked. You can click the link to open the unit summary to unlock it.


Please note that the terminology used in this article may be different depending on your Centre.
